Duration of the course is dependant upon the number of delegates and their experience levels or other qualifications.

Delegates must hold recognised lift truck operator certification, ideally for at least 6 months prior to this course

Initial instructor courses are usually conducted Counterbalance forklifts, once an instructor has qualified they can instruct on any of the 42 truck types providing they have completed a recognised basic operator course for that truck.

Certification is issued for 5 years, after which time a 3 or 4 day re registration course must be undertaken to retain certification.

  • Qualification Route
The qualification is awarded when candidates can pass all nine of the course assessments, this is achieved on a continual assessment basis. There is no single end test situation which can overwhelm candidates and does not necessarily reflect an overall ability.
